i'd like to go and do something like this but all the old abandoned buildings are in detroit and i'd probably just get killed before i even went near a building

If you are going to explore abandoned buildings it is highly advised to never go alone.

You also need mask protection. Asbestos will kill you, eventually.

Where do you people even find these places?

Seems like a really eerie place to go to. Wouldn't go there myself, unless someone dared me to.
