one last thing
it would be just a plant if you didn't ignite it and inhale the smoke
ignoring the facts about things and saying that it's ok because it's natural is really ignorant
might be false equivalency here (also cherrypicking) but: influenza, carbon monoxide, and tobacco are also natural. does that make them good?
weed grows naturally
ibuprofen is not a /naturally occurring/ substance
prolonged use of ibuprofen can cause stomach ulcers and intestinal bleeding
prolonged use of weed can cause short term memory loss with other factors depending upon method of intake
weed is without debate, safer than alcohol, cigarettes, and dare I say ibuprofen.
There is a need to be realistic in your choice to stand against the use of a relatively harmless drug
those who choose to abuse a substance should not be seen as representative of all users
I won't say that for any other substances, but weed at least does not deserve the heat you are giving it
Truly weed's damaging effects are as little, if not less, than a spoonful of sugar
On the thought of inhaling the substance, joints and the like are wrapped with paper; this excludes all the nasties found in cigarettes. So I suppose for smoking it you could argue that it is unhealthy because you are inhaling ash, at that still relatively minor if usage is limited to a few times a week in minor amounts; there are several ways to inhale it at that - bong, joint, pipe, etc
