My step-sister was shot (UPDATE)

It's a crappy time for me. Last year, my great grandparents died. Now, today, my step-sister has been reported to have been shot in the head AND thigh while in her car. Near stuffty St. Francis (Illinois). When I heard the news, my heart sunk. My mother was acting crazy, preparing herself, yelling to get her car ready to go.

My mother quickly called my aunt over to watch over me and my other sister. My dad is currently working so he doesn't know yet. Though, she is LIVING, and is able to talk. Considering the fact that she is STILL alive (thankfully) only puts more pressure on my heart if the hospital can make it there in time before she eventually bleeds out. I already had 2 funerals last year. I don't WANT any this year. Will update later

UPDATE Step-sister survived. She's alright now. She has bad injuries but she's still up and alive.

*Note: My family lives an hour away from my step-sister

I honestly don't know where she was shot. All I heard that she was shot in the head. Though, thanks.

You can also get shot in the head and not have it go through your skull. Depends on the angle, how strong your skull is, and your luck.

Technically speaking you can survive any shot to any part of the head from any angle regardless of whether or not it penetrates the skull. There are only like one or two parts of the brain that you absolutely cannot live without
