the new crystal gems [dailymotion]
why arent the earpieces removed from steven's and greg's ears already?
ik they've just came back, but maybe the diamonds would track them if they didnt take it off

when it aired on tv I was at a wedding, so I watched it online, seems I can never catch them on tv, anyway. I love any episode where Peridot is prominently featured, but gem bias aside I can still say I liked this one, good jokes at times, my only real complaint was the animation, seemed choppy in this episode, character height, width, and proportions in general seemed to change on an almost frame to frame basis, got annoying for me, still a great little episode, im glad they're building these secondary character relationships more, I like episodes that have new interactions between characters
I don't think the Lapidot shippers will ever shut up now, but at least that theory about peridot hating connie in defense of her relationship to steven will canonically end, im sure people will still make fanfiction about it though

I just love how I get a stuffload of commercials advertising that old TTG episode of Lebron James but I get absolutely NOTHING about the new Steven Universe episode that I almost pissed.

...the new Steven Universe episode that I almost pissed.
this made me laugh way more than it should have

SPOILERS:

when Rose Quartz shows up in the room and Steven establishes that she isn't really there, but instead that she's just his imagination of her, it immediately dampened the emotional confrontational scene for me, because he's not confronting his mom, he's confronting his imagination of his mom, and it's hard to think that he didn't have those answers prepared beforehand if he's arguing with himself over whether his mother was a good guy or a bad guy

it seems like a massive exaggeration of a soul-searching crCIA to me

Was an alright episode. I thought it was good up until he actually entered the room.

theres this stupid cycle steven goes through when he wants answers
1. he wants answers to some question the fandom wants to be answered too
2. once confronted with the thing that will answer his question, he ends up forgetting what he wanted or plays it off as it he never asked in the first place
3. repeat
its stuffty, and it pisses me off steven never really gets answered questions.

i think it was more about steven coming to terms with all the rose quartz nonsense than getting any answers about her

spoilers

i think after steven started yelling at rose that she actually became present in the room

sp
not totally impossible that it was actually rose trying to communicate with steven through the room, but that'd just be wild speculation. when steven first went into the room, we saw that it could imitate people that steven knows, but it was always really caricatured and weird. rose, on the other hand, was actually pretty convincing. tho that being said, the time that the room created connie, that was p convincing too iirc
