Author Topic: Rainbow Six Siege is taking control of my life  (Read 2567 times)

Y'know, Siege.
This game is great. It takes CS:GO's concept (terrorists vs counter-terrorists, save hostages, disarm bombs.. ect) and makes it much better.I hate CS:GO even though the concept is cool

I definitely recommend this game it is a must buy
Day 1 of having this game: I got my first kill at the 40min mark of me playing, I was so happy. I was also very bad at the game and decided to 'rush' enemies, which while it is possible to do, it is very hard and probably will have you killed.
After your third day of playing, or at least for me, you start getting the hang of it. I was originally 1kill 4deaths if I was lucky, now I just beat my high score of 8-2!

Nah mane
It all depends how you look at it. Progression is a lot like some modern FPS games, like after a match you own 'reown' which is like currency that you can use to unlock new operators or weapon attachments/skins
Also since EA is selling season passes, you're bound to know that DLC will be released

I thought Rainbow Six was an ubisoft IP

Put on a headcrab, it sure can steer you in a different direction and take you to a different lifestyle.

Pretty sure ubi said that they didnt want to split the community so anything they add with be free too
the current season pass just lets you get the new operators (when they come out obviously), some skins and a 5% renown bonus

Siege is nice, but only when you play with a group of friends. Its a very heavily team based, strategy and cooperation game. You can't rush in solo, you're more than likely going to die. You have to work with your squad closely, and I just can't seem to get that to happen when I play with randoms online.

And terrorist hunt, the AI are almost too human like. A terrorist with a shield will cover another one and they will move together, the one in the back popping up to take shots. Its incredible how good they can be sometimes, especially on realistic. Even with a squad of 5 and heavy planning, we couldn't do it. The bomber guys aren't that difficult, as long as you spot em fast enough.

i enjoy this game whether im playing solo or in a full five man queue
i think its because im so good at it

I remember in the beta playing Twitch and tasing all those bastard terrorists with the shock drone. Good times :(

I personally love the AI. Gives it more of a challenge. I don't know what your strategy is, but me and four randoms are easily able to take out a shield on realistic by communicating with each other over mic chat and surrounding the shield from all directions. The trick is not to assault him, but to let him come to you. As for bombers, all you have to do is pull out a pistol and pop a headshot. It may seem hard, but you get the hang of it.

As for what you said about working with random players, yeah, that can be hard, but as long as they have mic chat (and you have mic chat, for that matter), you can make some new friends, win a few victories, and have a fun time. Playing on a team where you're the only one with mic chat is awful, though - unless they can hear you.
