Author Topic: Guess who got their hands on a steam link and steam controller recently!  (Read 3076 times)

If I were to get a console it would be a PS4.

Not a streaming device.

If you've seen the size of my computer, you would see why I have a streaming device for it.

It would make more sense to get a PS4 console for the games your computer can't handle.

Most of the steam games aren't configured for a home living room couch setting.

No, you don't get what I mean. I mean my computer is huge and it can handle a lot of intensive stuff. But because it's so large, I can't tote it everywhere, so the steam link helps.

It's not good for comp play, if that's what you mean. That brief ms of input lag can screw up someone who is used to quick reactions and such, otherwise it's a pretty solid streaming device. But then again, I haven't used its ethernet port yet, I'll get back to you when I do.

Whoa i missed that, thanks dude.

>wasting money of steam's jewbox

ha!

The fact that it can substitute getting a mouse and keyboard alone makes it better than getting an xbox controller.
Much better than the 360 controller imo. What I like most about it is how much you can customize it.
That's good to hear. I've always been keen to playing with a controller over a keyboard in most games because it feels better, but at the cost of precision. Being able to have the best of both worlds is great.

Question did you have it using wifi or an ethernet cord? I've heard that there's barely any delay when using wired.
