Everyone knows what split personality is, right? It's that condition where you have two personalities and when you switch you don't remember what happened.


There is a person I know that claims she/it/whatever has over 7 different personalities known as "headmates." Now he's the forgeted up thing. Each "headmate" has its own personality, loveuality, age, etc.


Now unlike split personality disorders she claims she can communicate with all her personalities. They all get together to form hypothetical meetings in her head.


She also has a personality that she claims is mute and unable to speak. This deifies all biological evidence we have on mute people.

Actually, the evidence for Multiple personality syndrome is finicky and not definite. Psychologist disagree on the extent or even the realness of it, saying that it can't be possible to house multiple personalities inside a single mind. Its commonly used as an excuse to negative actions, so the legitimacy of it all is hard to find. That person with the 9 personalities, is probably horribly confused, or suffering from some other mental disorder, perhaps schtizophrenia.

Yea somethings is wrong with her, but not multiple personalities. Whether or not I believe in multiple personality disorder I haven't decided, but the mute thing is absolutely impossible.

The only way I'd believe in someone being mute who isn't mute, is someone who suffered sever mental trauma as a child and is afraid to speak and needs speech therapy. But, that's surely not the case here.
