Author Topic: Blogland: Invited to a HUGE venue with a friend - don't wanna go  (Read 2280 times)

I mean if you think you're a bad friend—and want to be a better friend—then meet with him some other time, since you don't want to go to the party.

You're not a very great liar from what I've seen so you need to tell the truth, although you've got to make the truth that you can't go. Like scheduling something on that day or something.

Or you could just go.

Just go to it.  Even if you don't like it, there's still a social connection to gain from it.  Wow, that sounded really robotic in nature.

finally found this image i made from like forever ago

I mean, if you can't find an excuse, just go. It's one day out of your life.

That'd be really mean and obnoxious.
are you under the impression that lying to him isn't?
if you can't be honest with your friends, you don't really deserve them in the first place

You should just go, probably. Either that or pray for a miracle and meet up with him afterwards, because you obviously want him as a friend.

You need to go.
You've brushed him off 3 times already, whether for legitimate reasons or not. 4 times is taking the piss.
And you've already said yes.

Suck it up, go to the game, have some fun, enjoy food at his place, sleep the next day.

Well there is the MLK break that I have in a week, maybe I can tell him that we can see a movie together.

How bad would it be if I were to just call it off though?

he would start to think you don't want to hang around with him

just go and be bored, it won't kill you to be bored for a few hours to make some other people happy that you went

He may start suspecting that you're just plain neglecting him, or has already

Well I obviously don't want this

Or this

Ugh

Don't expect to get invited to stuff again.
He will stop inviting you to everything if it seems like you're going to flake out at the last minute.

Seriously, think about your friend for once and just go.

Well I obviously don't want this

Or this

then

just go and be bored, it won't kill you to be bored for a few hours to make some other people happy that you went

because what else is there you could possibly do? its a fairly binary choice, go or dont
