Just finished reading it, his post really only seems to apply to a person who came out of a dysfunctional family constructed completely of starfishs. Given how many of those exist in the states, it's a good guide if you have a reason to have your paranoia amped up by 100%. So it's pretty easy. The simple version is don't associate yourself or your money with known degenerates and people with horrible character issues.
think about it this way: whittaker made 15 mil from investing before the lottery winnings and his family was not the culprit in any part of the story.
outside sources found out he won the lottery (this scenario definitely appears that he wasn't having an attorney cover for him or chose to be anonymous) and you know what happened from there.
money corrupts, whether you like it or not perfectly innocent people become your worst enemies and you will never see it coming unless you played a major form of self defense and did what the guide said.
or how whittaker got sued 4 times and LOST all 4 times because women were leaving their partner to go and try to get whittakers affection.
so it's not actually plausible because you simply don't know who the forget these degenerates and people with horrible character issues are until it's too late, if you never encountered one person like that you're either the luckiest person on the planet or you preemptively defended yourself.
this entire planet is like a dark alleyway in detroit, treat it as such.
