Author Topic: I NEED MEANINGFUL POEMS AND SONG LYRICS  (Read 1284 times)

Homework, I need some good poems. Also some good song lyrics, to a meaningful song with the same theme as the poem. I must do a literary brown townysis of both the song and the poem this week. I have picked Pearl Jam's "Black" as the song because the theme is easy but powerful (it is a song about the one that got away, and how you will never be the same because of them, essentially). So any poems with the general theme of longing to be with someone or something along those lines would be great. Really just any meaningful poems pls.

Should the Wide World Roll Away
By Stephen Crane
Quote
Should the wide world roll away
Leaving black terror
Limitless night,
Nor God, nor man, nor place to stand
Would be to me essential
If thou and thy white arms were there
And the fall to doom a long way.
