How to make a regular server?

I wanted to just go to slate or whatever we have now and just build stuff in single player, but I realised thst there is no such freebuild game mode. How do I just make a spot to build and do whatever in tis day and age?

1. Would probably belong in the help section
2. There should be a freebuild gamemode by default in the list, if it isn't there for some reason pick custom and select the addons n stuff
