God I've become so burned out of League.
I guess it isnt that I don't have fun with it, it's just that at this point, climbing is a huge grind unless I change my champ pool up and learn the game essentially from square one because I'm locked into split pushing and unique kit mechanics.
It's either play another 600 games by November and hope the law of large numbers loves me enough for d5 or just avoid decay and chill out for a while.
I guess I don't like some of the design choices Riot is making, and it's kind of tiring me out. I don't like overloaded kits. I don't like champions that have more than 4 abilities. I dont like three hit percent damage passives, or slows on two abilities, or seemingly free, low cool down mobility.
I understand that more mobility/complex kits allow for more flashy displays of skill that are obvious to even spectators that have never played a game of league before in their lives, but I feel like simple kits with counterplay that's easy to understand are anything but relevant. Champions like Malphite, Annie, Singed, etc.
Instead, it seems riot is embracing things like Kalista, Vayne, Taliyah, and Fiora.
I guess what I mean to say is, champs with simple kits have some really glaring weaknesses, while some champs are just too damn strong because they have kits loaded with things like 6 or 7 abilities, cc, percent damage, etc etc. I'm perfectly okay with there being champions that are strong when mastered. I'd prefer for all champions to be that way, which many, in fact, are.
But even a half competent fiora knows how to proc vitals, and her damn passive is zoning while she farms, forcing you to back off to reset the vital.
Even the most potato of Vaynes will shred a tank from the free damage she gets from Silver Bolts.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that Riot should shift the balancing of power to benefit mastery and understanding of both micro AND macro play, because right now, League of Legends is very heavily biased towards the micro.
