I used to play terraria multiplayer alot and I would make threads on the steam forums. I would get tons of invites and I accepted all of them.
The stray ones in my friends list are still there, They do that stuff.

im too lazy to remove it as i was searching for professional killstreak rocket launcher kit

Steam in general is handicapped about this stuff.  Every time I log in to friends list I have at least 5 invites piled up and I used to get 30+.  They show up on screen 3 at a time for 5 seconds each and there's no way to fast forward or skip them.  It's annoying as stuff.  There doesn't appear to be any way to turn it off.  I can't imagine what it's like for people who are actually famous.

I had to delete like 70+ people off my friend's list because I was getting like 30 invites a day.

It would be nice if the "ignore" button actually permanently ignored the invite.

I did find this handy dandy little tip.

I have to be a hermit crab, fantastic.

So there are benefits to having no friends.

Actually no. You'll still get invites even without friends. It's inevitable.

more than 500 invites or messages a day.

"Ignore all" is a thing plebs

not sure if suggested yet but steam inventory helper lets you automatically block/reject friend requests that are of an account below whatever level you put it to. i have like 200 users blocked because of this. i did business with a few youtube famous people and some turned out to become friends so i know all to well about massive amounts of people adding you.
