Due to former Swedish aggression, both sides of the civil war agreed to truce and create the Provisional Government of England. Out of this came the New Model Army and the New Model Navy, a military force that swears allegiance to the provisional council, which holds 6 members - 3 representatives to the King, 3 representatives to the Parliament.

The Provisional Government faces tread lock and turmoil after the war. Although coffers are being filled due to new influences in the Baltic, and war reparations from the Swedes, the King is unhappy with his more-or-less equal power. Unable to dissolve the parliament in a fit of anger, the King may be forced to break away.

iunno, i think i made friends with denmark and some of the other baltic nations.

english merchants are flooding to ports on this icy island in order to take advantage of the new markets that have opened (and as a base for trade)
