Those teachers that grade the test/quiz right after you take them

forget you, I'd love to have teachers to do this. I have to wait minimum of a week to get my score and I can guarantee you that that stuff is much more stressful than getting the score at the moment.

Sometimes we wait up to a month for scores otherwise. Sometimes they'll wait until near the end of the grading period to punch everything in.

Some of my teachers did this last year and it's the absolute worst thing. You have to manually track your grades to see how you're doing because the teacher won't post the grades until weeks after the assignments.

They force you to go to school and pay for your own supplies and if you can't afford your stuff you have to get a job but you can't hold a job because they pound you with so much work that you can't fit in time for work

school supplies aren't even that expensive though, save for a calculator and laptop. the most i buy for school are some composition notebooks, some spiral bound notebooks, a 2-pack of mechanical pencils, a pack of paper, and maybe a binder. i rarely spend over $20-$25 on school supplies, except for this year when i bought a calculator that was on sale for $88 which will last me well through college and the year before when i bought a $50 laptop bag which is sturdy and will also last through college.

my state even does a tax-free weekend for school supplies.

It really forgets you up when you don't know your position in class, then they yell at you when you don't fix your grade. Like damn, how was I suppose to fix something I didn't know was broke?

i'm also in a poverty stricken area, we're all of free lunch here. those of us that bring school supplies (it's a very low number, students here don't care about their education) buy what we need at the start of the first semester and restock at the start of the second semester.

Stuff must be cheaper there, it's a pain to get stuff here. Mainly because I live deep in a wooded area so it costs us a gallon or two of gas just to pick up a pack of pens. We try to do all of our shopping at once but it's difficult to given a few factors. Ridiculous how they force you to wake up early to go to school which then proceeds to make you supply them

Homework itself doesn't bother me, it's just when the teachers tell you that you're not allowed to do homework in class after you're finished.

might be best not to use me as an example here; I've never been in a public school. all of my work is reviewed by teachers since I'm in a mailing correspondence program.

i remember in like 4th grade english we wrote essays and each one was handed to each different student and they had to see if you made any errors or mistakes

Most of my school teachers have a variation on the peer grading system in that they ask for the answers to questions...

...while you have someone else's paper

Especially annoying when they pick you to answer the question that took you five minutes to solve and the person whose paper you have has a different answer than you

we can get paper, notebooks, and composition notebooks for about 88 cents here for generic brands. more premium brands like five-star can cost $4 or $5, so i tend to stick with generics
