I'd have no problem suiting up if the situation was dire enough. People are scared of the regular uniform and yet they still want protection from the bad guys with the "military style" weapons. How do you think the police are going to handle it hmm? With beanbags and little bags of sunshine?

You should try out exanima, the heavier teir armour is for the most part pretty bland but the combat is satisfying (although there is no thrusting yet) and the demo story there is right now is loving amazing.
