contrary to popular belief, the guillotine is actually painful for about 15 to 30 seconds as it has been studied by observing the severed heads for the short time they are conscious upon being separated from the body (though this occurrence of being conscious is rare).

Guillotine was mostly done away with for this pain but for also how symbolically barbaric it has become. It's an extremely messy business and because of that it just seemed cruel to people who have any moral fibers in their body. The practice of decapitation of the head is a massive statement too as its an attack on ones very visage.

A huge number of different components are packed into our heads. The human head contains more than 20 bones, up to 32 teeth, a large brain, of course, and several sensory organs, as well as dozens of muscles, and numerous glands, nerves, veins, arteries and ligaments. They are all tightly configured and intensely integrated within a small space. And people’s heads look good too. The human head boasts one of the most expressive set of muscles known to life. It is adorned with various features that lend themselves to ornamentation: hair, ears, nose and lips. Thanks to an impressive concentration of nerve endings and an unrivalled ability for expressive movement, our heads connect our inner selves to the outer world more intensely than any other part of our body. And its set upon a pedestal for all to see. ~ Frances Larson

strangely enough personally if i were to pick how i died i feel that decapitation would be one of the ways i'd pick. The concept and practice of the severing of the head is something that fascinates me to a high degree.

Well THIS is definitely one of the more creepy sides to you that i've seen so far.

I feel like a bullet to the head would be the most efficient and they can fire it correctly so that it kills you instantly (or almost)

although that would also probably seem fairly cruel because instead of some elaborate setup like someplace to hang, guillotine, injection table, or electric chair, youre just holding a gun to someones head and pulling the trigger

It's mainly just morbid curiosity which is something a little bit of everyone has. Public executions use to be entertainment before the ball game became regular on Sunday. There is definitely something romantic about death to humans and that hasn't stopped them from googly-eyeing it on the internet for what seems like years now.

Gurochan would be a shining example of how far some people would take it. Though i wouldn't recommend anyone visit that site.

It would be less cruel as that is easily the most painless way to die than anything else. Elaborate setups of execution and public display seems to be more symbolic of ones determination to snuff out a life, and yet somehow people during the French Revolution saw it as the opposite. I think a bullet to the brain is far more dignified.

Edit: Also the way I would want to be executed its by standing in between two coach busses driving toward each other at 60 mph

today marks 40 seconds since the last Self Delete hanging

This one image could prevent millions of Self Deletes worldwide.
wrong image

You must be talking about this one.

or maybe because tetris is using the wrong anime

i don't understand why execution methods are so "civilized" these days.

i mean what the forget. you kill 15 people and the worst that will happen to you is an injection? wtf. i don't see that as being fair to the victims.

the government should make laws that could prevent murders from the first place or make execution methods more "uncivilized"
Execution shouldn't be some sick show of vengeance for the victim's families.

And what law exactly could the government make to prevent murders? Murdering someone is already illegal lol

we should celebrate by hanging freek

Don't forget your fists and other body parts!

forget we need to ban those too... Why don't we just jail everybody?

if everybody's in jail there can be no crime

he ordered a well-done steak for his final meal, what an absolute barbarian

if everybody's in jail there can be no crime

but what happens if there's crime in jail
