Author Topic: My university just banned hoverboards.  (Read 2358 times)

Apparently they can overheat and ignite while charging. It's the first I've heard of it, but google tells me it's a fairly common issue.

I haven't ever seen one on campus (I didn't even know they were available to the masses) but I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry. Anyway, I thought this was interesting enough to share here. Discuss hoverboards/their banning in this thread if you want to.
