server idea is alright. weapon choices are kindve bad imo. you guys really need to fix the door problems, i sat at a door for 15 minutes waiting for someone to come help fix it and neither of the two admins active came and helped . a button for a door reset at the start of each level or something

doors are ludicrously complicated and i am always frusterated by it
i think there can be work arounds at least but agh

also i haven't been responsible for hosting anything for the past month or so, i'm not sure who is hosting

holy hell relays are so unstable

like a secret room/floor only accessible by killing a certain amount of enemies?
or maybe something hidden in the lobby?

Or instead of doing something dumb like that

how about hidden pathways between levels which lead to secret levels
could reward things like more points, a special item, or a shortcut to a further level. of course, only if they can beat the secret level

it's an interesting idea actually

yeah i think i can do that

the only problem would be the amount of effort in setting something up like that

which is almost entirely just building of the paths to the secret levels

Just like, wedge them in somewhere and use a teledoor.

you could add a timer countdown for each room so if the enemies aren't killed in time the room just resets itself and the player respawns at the entrance

yeah i got it
i cant do teleports

that said it's easily possible and is kinda already integrated

the only difference will be that the players will already be in the room and will have to go back to the entrance to start it again

i don't think i'll use teledoors though
they ruin the spaciality

i realized that last boss music would be nice

we're getting ever closer to level 100

for organization purposes i have a to-do list

  • do a ton of building details and whatnot
  • add a shop at the hub 75
  • screw around with item_shields, get rid of health boosts
  • figure out how to make somewhat overpowered weapons for "massive" enemies
  • add bots to levels 77+
  • finish pvp thing
  • add those bonus room ideas if i want
  • level 100

  • play it a couple of times solo
  • find a server hoster
  • public test semi-privately (password in topic)
  • public public test
  • work out whatever kinks are in these levels and stuff
