That title is a bit of a misnomer.
It's not that religious people tend to be less intelligent, it's that intelligent people tend to be less religious. I suppose this does have an effect on the relative populations, so maybe the average IQ of each group will be different, but either way it's not like religion consistently causes stupidity.
