I gotta be honest, guys.  I am actually finding updating and constantly following this game to be a tremendous consumption of time and attention.  Frankly, I am seriously considering either dropping the project altogether or passing it off to anyone who I

I personally believe we should leave moderators to NPC interaction and player interaction only; no countries for them.
Moderators have to have fun too. Otherwise it gets super tedious and boring (IMO)

Pleth, check your PMs.

Thread has run its course. If you are unable to update, there isn't any point in continuing, and there really isn't anyone that can host besides perhaps Mikoyan. A relaunch on a new map would be insulting to everyone who has played here and forged (no pun intended) a unique course of history.

If Miko wants to host, however, I wouldn't be opposed to a new entry into the Nation Forge series - new map, setting and era.

this p much

though i think a new map w/ a relaunch would be nice

Here is a quick sketch I made for a map:
Darkest Green: Plains and Countryside
Lighter Green: Heavily Forested area
Mint Green: Tropical Climate
Orange: Desert Climate (The same as the Iron Desert's)
White: Subarctic Climate, snowy and cold 3/4 of the year
Purple: Arctic Climate, almost entirely uninhabitable,

A new nation forge could just be the imperialist era colonization onto a different continent

A new nation forge could just be the imperialist era colonization onto a different continent
oh I like this idea

Going off Regirock's idea, the new continent could look soemthing like this

compared to his original map

(obviously biomes would need to be adjusted then)

the problem of course with brand new colonization RP is that not all of the current players are represented navy wise, much if at all. that starts problems because they then can't just start MAKING navies at the start of a new RP without being extremely disadvantaged from the start

i would dig just adding on a separate continent and perhaps some islands and such. i know swat was saying he couldn't make the current map bigger for a variety of reasons, so for this reason we can just tack on some more ocean and add a bunch of new land. this gives people a chance to get some navies going and have an equal shot at colonial empire, as well as giving us some NPCs to fight + keeping the intrigue at home

by the way Kyrev sends an alliance request to Romekate

I think I'd be willing to host.

Keep posting thoughts/ideas.

Perhaps there could be an equator line so we'd know where the most humid and tropical places are?
There should be a poll for what century the new Nation Forge would be in   (Maybe something like 11th century - 19th century)

Also would we use Swat ONE's drawing skills for the map or would someone else have to dry the map, because I like how Swat drew the map using 1x1 pixels.

I will add polls for NationForge II within this post.  Stay tuned.

Mikoyan will be hosting it.  I will be a mod serving under Miko.  Plethora has been nominated by four people to be a moderator in this game and has been nominated twice (to my knowledge) to serve in the next game.

I really am sorry about suddenly turning around voiding this, especially for all the work that was done getting to this point.

Even though Nation Forge II will not be my game to manage, the things that should be preserved are map style (it is visually decent, providing view of political territory and the underlying terrain and is easy to edit as opposed to a free-drawn map.) and the play and moderation style should be similar, but do not need to be exactly the same.

I heavily suggest doing Imperial-style, "we come from a different realm" Christopher Columbus dominate. Have a bunch of Native NPCs and we can have new nations formed based off (or free of) the nations from here.

I'd be cool with a relaunch on a new map.  Although we've created a unique world history and all that, creating a new one is always exciting and breathes new life into things.

NPCs add a lot to the workload of the mods, both in their creation and their interactions.  I'm not saying I oppose them, just that if they are present, their interactions would represent a significant level of effort on the part of the mods.

If people will have me, I'll act as a mod.

NPCs will be controlled by mods who don't have their own nations. This is my point.

you can add depth by having mods who don't have their own interests+control various npcs (jairo did ok with this for various reasons) or have mods with countries that cant be interested in doing anything.
