Anglish farmers flock to the Fisian river in great numbers, hoping to make use of the fertile land. Some other entrepreneurs, however, have other expectations: rare metal. An expedition is made along this river and any creeks for GOLD!

To cover for this migration, Angland claims more of the Frisian river up to the north-east/east.

You need to get this kind of thing cleared by a moderator first.
On that note: this is not cleared by a moderator.

How did you find the underwater like? How did you know there was gold and silver? How does arid climate create tropical fruits?
The underwater lakes were already known we just couldn't access them. The mineral composition in the rocks gave signs that there might be gold and silver, we don't know yet, and they're not tropical fruits but its hot enough some fruits can grow that do not require a lot of moisture, like pomegranate and watermelon.

Will you clear it?

Eventually, I want to be able to grow tropical fruits but the humidity is not high enough.

And herein lies the problem with not having enough rules on your Nation RP.

How did you know there were lakes there? Also, in 1824 the human race did not have the technology to examine mineral compositions. Finally, watermelon takes quite a lot water to grow; the temperature doesn't matter much if you can't water the crops.

civil strife stamped out I guess
Bruh.
Strikes and riots begin occurring throughout Sonodine.  A mob storms the parliament building while parliament was convened after overpowering the guards at station, trapping them inside.  The group who now holds the Sonodite parliament hostage now asks for ransoms to be paid in order to get them back.  Sonodite intelligence has confirmed that the rioters here are armed.

In the countryside, several storehouses and granaries are burned.  A few farms are burned as well.

Militarized riverboat designs are invested in.
how wide are rivers
Reasonably wide.  Also what do you want as far as travel rates through the Auligne River?  I have a camp on the other side that needs a continued supply train.  After you figure out that civil strife of course...

At Nami, a collective tribal force of 600 arrives.  They chant and bash their shields rhythmically.

The coffee industry in Arcon improves substantially.  In the newly-acquired land, it is found to be the ideal growing region.  In the name of the prince and the nation, more territory is claimed.  Occupation forces enter the area to inform the natives of the situation.  They are notified of their situation and are offered the same deal as was given to the previous groups.  Officials tell them if they grow certain crops, they can grow very rich.

The Natives told us, but they would never tell us how they got in there. And it's not hard to tell if gold might be ruining in the veins of the rocks or not, I have been mining about three or four times now and there are ways to tell by the area's mineral composition. You don't need special equipment as much as knowledge of what to look for.

Anyway, are you going to approve it?

Sunyong farmers begin to expand upon the practice of drip irrigation on their farms, experimenting with firing their own clay pipes to run underneath their fields straight from the river.  The practice is shared among farmers until it spreads up and down the river, and as a result, the agriculture industry in Sunyong expands.  The Emperor is pleased, and demands that the farmer who pioneered the practice come forward immediately.

The Emperor makes a decree to his people:  While military service is not a requirement, men who enlist with the Sunyong military will receive desirable benefits for themselves and their families should they have them.

After his decree, training and enlistment centers in the city are flooded with men, aged sixteen and above, wanting to enlist.  The centers are forced to turn away a large portion of those seeking the benefits of enlistment, as the training facilities of Sunyong are not yet able to hold the capacity that demand enlistment.  The Sunyong military, however, expands greatly, as their numbers almost triple from a rough one hundred fifty thousand to a staggering four hundred some thousand.

After receiving word of the absurd amount of people having to have been turned away, the Emperor makes another decree:  Any man serving under an occupation that in some way serves the Empire (such as agriculture, manufacturing, mining, etc.) will receive some sort of benefits from the government.

The soldiers sing to combat the smashing of shields and the like. Cannons prepare grape shot, and infantry ready their weapons.

Avalonian trade ships begin increased trade with other coastal nations, no farther North than Arcon, but as far South as Seris.  These traders bring back not only wealth, but their observations on foreign cultures and at least some information on their techniques of various things, including farming.  Irrigation becomes a more popular concept among Avalonian farmers spurred on by the thought of larger crops and larger profits.

Avalonians shake their heads on hearing of the unrest in Sonodine and laud their personal freedoms and free markets.

Avalonian tax codes are reformed at the national assembly, eliminating various forms of property and estate taxes and implementing a small consumption tax on "goods not essential to the maintenance of life", which is to say just about everything except food, medicine, clothing, and lodging.  It is also resolved to match but not exceed any foreign tariffs to "prevent the undue rise of foreign industry within Avalonia", although it is decided that if native goods are "of such poor quality or high cost that foreign goods would be more general to the general populace" the tariff on that specific industry from the most competitive nation will be lowered in the best interests of the Avalonian people.

The new tax code has, at least initially, boosted government revenue, but the national assembly has expressed its willingness to reevaluate the tax code should it prove to be to the disbenefit of any local entity, be it the people or the government.

Milhamiah replaces their advisors and replenishes their treasury with the new foundation of farms and mines.

They continue their attempts to be isolated, but the Great Lake river entrance is bringing in traders that they will profit from inevitably, and it will not go unnoticed.

Kyrev hopes this new Milhamite nation is more benevolent with their control of all trade going east.

The Duma founds a small collection of national research organizations, including a naval institute and agrarian studies.
