I gotta be honest, guys.  I am actually finding updating and constantly following this game to be a tremendous consumption of time and attention.  Frankly, I am seriously considering either dropping the project altogether or passing it off to anyone who I

The Kyrev-Milhamiah War

otherwise known as the Great Semite War

The Avalonian navy puts in a request to the national assembly for funding for improved facilities and training and more ships.  The request is granted, and work is contracted out to local firms to build new and improved shipbuilding facilities and warships, and warning and defensive infrastructure at Avalonia's major ports.  Additionally, the navy looks or volunteers for naval training from the ranks of men already serving as sailors.  This training guarantees no position in the navy, simply preferential treatment for when the navy asks the national assembly to create a more standing navy, and padding for their work experience.

Disagree with me if you want since everyone is allowed their own opinion, but I personally think it is unfair that this RP seems to be one sided. Hear me out (even though I know the people I use in my example will disagree with me), but how is it fair that Kyrev is allowed to be almost five stars in everything, then get mad when Conservatia is 10 years ahead in tech and get it taken away from Conservatia? How is it fair that basically only Imperialist nations win in these types of RPs? Basically, if you work on trying to expand your nation peacefully and work on developing your nation, other nations will attack you regardless of the length of time your nation has been here. IC is IC, but he wasn't expanding into your territory, he was expanding into your "sphere of influence" which is basically saying, "i own this land but not officially ;)))" Look, all is fair in love in war, but I just don't think it is fair that certain nations get five stars right out of the gate, get other nation's abilities taken away, and how Imperialism is the only way to win (which im sure someone is already replying to me about how its not and how im handicapped, which i disagree with but i wont argue and turn this into a flamewar).

tl;dr - why does kyrev have five stars after five days and complain about conservatia being 10 years ahead in tech, and why is imperialism rewarded and paraded in these rps

why is imperialism rewarded and paraded in these rps

imperialism was rewarded and paraded in real life too.

time period. You don't see many countries in the 1800s trying to be peaceful or anything. Imperialism ran high and being am peaceful country like now was unheard of. Only then did ethical concerns happen and stunt the growth of imperialism. That's what I think.

Still, it's not fun for other players like me and it's not fair for other people who are just trying to have their own nation.

I agree with you.  Just remember that walking softly and carrying a big stick aren't mutually exclusive.

Fight fire with fire.

I have no interest in starting wars. I said before -- nations that just want to build up. That's what I find fun, and I don't think it is fair the Kyrev gets five stars right out of the gate when I'm over here struggling to build my stuff up.
