I gotta be honest, guys.  I am actually finding updating and constantly following this game to be a tremendous consumption of time and attention.  Frankly, I am seriously considering either dropping the project altogether or passing it off to anyone who I

Avalonia accepts the invitation into the NCO.

The Avalonian national assembly, in a landmark decision, accepts a motion brought to the floor by the Supreme General to form a small standing army and navy to bolster the militia forces which, however patriotic, would be able to do little to stop an incoming army, though they could likely force it to retreat.

I do wish to put my two cents in regarding the star system: I'm with grunter that hermits should be able to resist five star powers with some success given the right circumstances (I won't lie, I'm biased because I do have almost hermit status militarily and have tried to create those circumstances), but it can be all too easy for a one star player to see that his invader has five and throw in the towel immediately where they might at least try to put up a fight like a real nation if not influenced by the stars.

Now that Wask is kaput, what happens to Valbrandsvag?

The walls of Suqiu begin to collapse, after withstanding the pressure almost admirably, and the soldiers manning them fall back into the city.  Stubborn citizens who refused to evacuate flee to the center of the city, toward the few remaining artillery pieces still firing.  Soldiers take up positions in the urban outlying areas, waiting patiently to stage ambushes using large powder-kegs and barrels of a flammable substance comparable to greek-fire.

The defense in the north continues with its current strategy, with Imperial Guardsmen picking off officers coming down in order to cause lack of organization within the Romek forces, later to be exploited by standing defense.

The border expands outward.

If that's the case:

Sunyong forces withdraw from the north, although some remain to keep watch.  The rest of the Sunyong military is able to move back down south and assist the effort to fight off the offensive on Suqiu.

The following forces are to depart from Adenbell and head down to the Lehr River to support WDC forces. They are to hold downstream and wait.

2 Shrike-Class refitted armed steamships
6 Sloops of War
3 Frigates
2 Ofir-Class Transports
10,000 Combined General Infantry and Riflemen
3,000 Cavalry
500 Artillery Personnel

The following forces are to depart from Estallum and Adenbell to establish naval bases on the claimed islands and assist with colonization of the peninsula.
4 Caliburn-Class Cruisers
1 Lightning-Class Frigate
3 Sloops of War
5 Yafron-Class Transports
Mordechai Rais (Captured and Refitted), SOTL
Yehudi Maksimov (Captured and Refitted), SOTL
5,000 Federal Serisian Army Personnel

A new railroad will be constructed, extending from New Hope and along the western peninsula north of New Hope.

If that's the case

yeah they've been withdrawn ever since it was first noted how badly my cavalry were doing on the front lines, which is of course expected
