The Avalonian national assembly passes legislation allowing any man aged twenty years or more to vote, so long as they are fit to do so (eg. not the mentally insane, the imprisoned, foreigners, &c.).

With the war appearing to be over, urgency around forming a stronger army lessens, but the government isn't content to rely solely on frontier scouts, special forces, and militias for the defense of the Avalonian people.  Workshops are built in towns throughout Avalonia able to produce things like guns and munitions, and preparations begin to raise a small but well trained standing army to add to Avalonia's strategic options in its defense and if need be, offense.
