those romek forces see the carnage of charred fields and burnt out corpses. There are little survivors, some just orphaned children, weeping over the remains of what was their mother
"It's not time to sleep yet, Mommy." said the child.

The mother's eyes lay on her child, a last tear appearing, her mouth having already spilled blood.
"Good night, don't let the bed bugs bite."

Forces in Xeichi, for the record, are not purely natives. When the Romekati army proper was in the region, the Xeichi military was disbanded and its forces were absorbed by Romek-Inen. While some native soldiers are still within the 50k force stationed in the region, at least half are a mix of Sonodites and Romekates.

For this reason, they find relatively little issue in enforcing Norse as the state religion. The province is kept on a tight curfew and marshal law is only not declared because the Romekati military is legally the Romekati government and thus marshal law isn't a thing(see government type).

Occupational forces are sent to East Sunyong as Romek-Inen begins enforcing its sovereignty there. It is undetermined as of yet whether East Sunyong will be annexed or vassalized, but it is made very clear that their prior religion is unwelcome. Policies enforced on Xeichi are applied here as well, with tight border control preventing anyone from escaping.

Those that refuse Norse are branded with cow irons and made into slaves.* Slave packs are built and used as the brunt of the reparational workforce in Sonodine. Sonodite slaves are offered limited freedom. They now have rights against physical violence and are considered fellow men, but must pay a tax for their religion and cannot reside in Romek-Inen proper. However, if they are to convert, they will be welcome anywhere within the realm with the same rights as a Romekati citizen. The same applies to Norse Sonodites.

15,000 men are diverted and reformed into a sort of military-level police force. They begin to stamp out organized crime in Sonodine, and they prevent slave rebellion.

*Sonodite Christians are not branded. Also, the branding is on both forearms.

perhaps the norse gods are like the manifestation of the power of the Christian god, as his agents

scotia reforms its religion more so that it annexes everyone

Troops march through the few cleared out, destroyed streets of Suqiu, enforcing occupation over it as resistance continues to be hunted down. An oppressing stance is set onto the capital more than any other city. Buddhist temples are ransacked, while pieces of art and currency nationwide are taken up by the occupying force. A majority of the population of Georgien-occupied Sunyong become susceptible to the risk of being picked up into forced labor (or just slavery p much).

A system is set, forcing people to vacate from the countryside to being housed within occupied cities. Those that are found outside the city afterwards are at danger to be killed should they be found. Rewards are given to those who choose to report things such as this, or other resistant-like crimes. Curfew for the two cities are set, as well.

While punishment onto actual individuals for their religion is minimal, their original religions are clearly heavily looked down upon. For Suqiu and Panguan, however, those of Buddhist faith are requested to identify themselves. Offers of conversion are given, though those that refuse are marked with a tattoo along the back of their hand.

Those that choose to convert and go through teachings have a much lower chance of being randomly picked, and are to be valid for different occupations.

Forces centered around the occupation and progressing annexation of west Sunyong are formed, consisting mostly of the partially-fresh soldiers that had just begun arriving to the cities, mostly to keep the populaces controlled and, like the Romekati's own occupational forces, prevent slave rebellion.

A 'city' is planned to be made with minimal resource usage just across the border from Naran, named 'Munka'. There, a majority of forced laborers that will have by then be acquired are to be clumped together within the city, seperated off from everything else with no purpose other than to continue their labor in the city.

For now, identified Buddhists who refuse to/are not yet converted are pushed into the more destroyed/poor areas of Suqiu, with something similar occurring in Panguan. However, those in Panguan aren't as bad off as those within Suqiu are.

In the meantime as well, Grúzia-Nec focuses more-so on replenishing their military and bringing their borders together with occupied Sunyong.
