The NCO Serisian branch office is opened in Sentrilli, the capitol.

The Serisian government votes in favor of the recent NCO proposal.

The Serisian Military adopts an improved version of the revolver first used by the Serisian Ranger Diplomatic Security Service, it enters service with army officer and cavalry units. Naval crews are issued revolvers too, and they quickly become popular throughout the country with constabularies and civilian owners. This, combined with the release of Serisian military patents, helps spurs the entry of new industrial/manufacturing companies and inventors into various industries, though some will likely fail.

Keen political and economic writer, Gunther L. Magnus writes a book, published in Auregge, called "The Modern Economy."  Its ideas begin to spread across Arcon and to corners of the known world.  It highlights the importance of economic sectors, and the importance of maintaining balance to ensure economic stability.

(Summary available in Arcon's NP, under "Notable Works")

A translated version of the book becomes popular in the Federal Serisian States. The Serisian government suggests that a proposal that would make each NCO nation's patent laws compatible with each other and improve technical and scientific cooperation.

Anglond opens a larger and improved patent office in Landon.

Anglish industries begin to churn out cotton with the use of a recently developed, steam-powered (or a cheaper man-powered), horse-pulled cotton harvesting machine. This, and the cotton gin, incredibly increases the ability for Anglish export of cotton and cotton-related goods to the surrounding economies, especially that of Conservatia, Scotia, Arcon, and Avalonia.

The Bremerhaven province expands west. Alberton expands north east.

Don't expand into my trade interests, please.  The pro-Arconian inhabitants would not like that.  Arcon would not like that.

Here's one to add to the board.

In a way, it shows the relationship between Romek-Inen and Xeichi.

Don't expand into my trade interests, please.  The pro-Arconian inhabitants would not like that.  Arcon would not like that.
Are my merchants not allowed to sell anything in your markets? It's how the economy works.

Well he can make it where merchants aren't allowed to trade in Arconian cities if he declares an official trade embargo on your nation and its people. Though, his nation wont be getting as much money due to cancelled trade, basically neither party gains anything from a trade embargo except less profit.

Why would he declare an official trade embargo, when both nations benefit from one another's trade? I don't view Arconian relations as negative at all, and he has no cause for the same. With Arconian economic inspiration, reform has been made, pushing for a personal economy that will expand the national economy, without conflicting issues. Slavery has been abolished, allowing the poor to fill in needed jobs, and allowing all men to choose their path in life. Furthermore, our people love Arconian coffee -- we might even be one of the largest buyers. I must remind you that in order for trade to be profitable, we should be able to trade in an exchange for goods.

An Anglish entourage visits Serisia in order to discuss relations.

Fat to the bone, after an eternity of eating at an Avalonian dinner table, delegates wish to discuss a stronger trade relationship, nevertheless a mutual pact of friendship.

going ooc for a minute - was this our version of "the wealth of nations"? I thought that was already published

No, the expansion.  I started working on this on page 108.  Arconian authorities were in the area.
Arcon begins looking at the territory to the east, looking to claim the land between itself and Anglond.  Messengers are sent out to the inhabitants of this region to both ascertain if they are peaceful and to ascertain what views they hold of the Arconian nation.  Gifts are given out to sweeten the deal.
Asked for moderation approval so that there would be a second opinion:
The natives encountered by the messengers are peaceful, but despite the gifts and a favorable view of the country, they are not ready to accept annexation by Arcon yet.
Then I took initiative again:
After hearing positive news from the Northwestern Zedrelands [the same region], Arcon sends more representatives with the aim of opening up the region to Arconian trade, offering superior agricultural goods, and offers to bring representatives on an all-expense-paid journey around Arcon, to see areas that have both recently been developed, and cities that have existed for centuries.
And then another moderation response:
The offer is accepted.
So yeah.

ok let me publish the final solution real quick

Avalonia protests the current NCO proposal, citing its own form of debt slavery as neither barbaric nor inhumane.  Avalonia also questions whether an organization dedicated mainly to internal cohesion in trade and diplomacy has a legitimate claim on the authority to try to enact social change in the world, particularly the world outside the NCO.  It also views the penalty for slavery as unnecessarily steep, effectively an embargo.

Avalonia suggests grandfathering in its own long standing and humanitarian form of debt slavery, and encouraging non-slavery outsider nations to effectively embargo slave nations, rather than doing it directly, or at least making the tariffs more reasonable.
