eating stuff and only getting dysentery isn't really an accomplishment if you see what i'm saying

if we want to move the military, economic or general development status quo forward just move it forward, don't allow individual nations to do it. that makes everybody scour wikipedia for age-accurate advancements and then its just a real big cluster

They don't need to.  That's their choice, however, there should be a reason behind using cutting-edge technology.  Do you think it should be taken for granted?  Once a nation creates rockets, and now everyone has rockets?  I'm confused what you're trying to argue.

libraries are built in every city as well as universities, offering a range of subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and economics to a greater range of people

scotia builds more merchant ships

Avalonian advances in mechanized farming and food storage cause the farming of grains to require less and less manpower; as a result, more people leave farmlands and enter into other businesses including commerce.  Builders in Avalonia's port cities improve both dry and wet docks to match this influx of merchants.  Raw materials still make up the bulk of Avalonian imports, to fuel heavy industry, but increasing is the importation of foreign luxuries like liquors, art, literature, religious artifacts; you produce no luxury goods to speak of, so I guess I'll take your cultural identities.

I still haven't gotten any word on crops

also copy avalonia

1835 Block established, refits are completed and new ships have been added to the navy.
The number of active Caliburn-Class ships has been reduced from 21 to 10.
