Author Topic: Visolator's servers - Tower Defense reboot (ideas?)  (Read 14320 times)

The default 4x4, 8x8, 16x16, 32x32 and 64x64 cubes aren't static shapes, maybe the map could be made out of them?

I'm not using static shapes.

Emmm.....

Yeees?

I didn't mean the static shape mod if you're thinking bout that...

No, using static shapes in general to make a map isn't a good idea.

The healer and shield (on randomizer) are kind of annoying because they have to flash your screen when used.

also what effect does the shield have? it doesn't look like my health gets raised when I use it.

It reflects most projectiles.

I'll be working on the donation system soon. Here's the main plan for it: No actual advantages over other players that will affect the game

Where will the donations go? These donations go directly to the NFO Server VPS to pay the bill to keep up the server (as well as kong123's and xenos109) longer! Donation ids will be up on a cloud, each server I host may have different perks.

Am I wrong about this?

No, they're bricks. Static shapes are entirely different.

So why not make the terrain with them?

because staticshapes have to be modeled in blender or milkshape or whatever - manually - instead of built or generated, and they're basically interiors except somehow gayer than normal

using static shapes in general to make a map isn't a good idea

plus i like the current flat map so...

edit2: progress update on this

So why not make the terrain with them?
By the time I make a map big with the right cubes, it's already going to take around 30k bricks or more if I don't use 32x or bigger (it's also not a good idea to use giant bricks like that), this also indicates the build reset date to be more frequent. I'm also not good with terrain so I'm skipping that anyways.

I think I'm done with my base for now.  I want to add a drawbridge but I'm not entirely sure how to implement it (the fact that the castle is built on a rise is complicating things).

Nice Castle,Is your Brigde evented to go down and go up or didn't you started on it yet?

i'm sorry but
Brigde

anyhow seemingly the only (and most obvious) way is to build two drawbridges (lowered and raised), name them and event a button to alternate between them
