i'm not afraid riding in a car as a passenger unless they're a really stuffty driver.

that's not something to brag about

i don't believe in psychological medicine

you're a lost cause

I got over it the more I drove. You just have to do it and you'll get over it.

The first time I drove out on the highway I was a nervous wreck. I was sweating, my hands were shaking, and I was extremely paranoid about speeding. I found that it was very relieving to talk to my mom or sisters while I was driving to take my mind off all the worst case scenarios in my head, concentrating to listening to the radio (but still paying attention to the road) was a good stress reliever, too.
I got my license last summer and was driving to classes within about a week. I haven't gotten in a wreck or killed anyone so far. I assume since you have your learner's permit you know the basics of driving. Once you tell yourself it's going to be okay and keep practicing you should be fine.

if you have a medical issue with panic attacks how the heck were you able to get a drivers license in the first place? you're putting other drivers at risk on the road if you're someone who's prone to panic attacks.
I'm pretty sure everyone can get panic attacks but ok

OT: just calm down and relax op, nothing bad is gonna happen and if you don't get your hours since it sounds like you have a learners, you won't be able to drive at all

I used to be afraid of driving, it's a really scary thing for a beginner. You will actually get used to it faster than you think and all it takes is getting behind the wheel despite your anxiety and taking it slow.

the equivalent of telling a depressed person just to be happy
lol no it isn't
you can force yourself to drive and eventually you'll get used to it
you can't just force yourself to be happy

no my man, you really just have to drive, trust me.
i get anxious as well, but as soon as im in the warm car with my music playing, i GOT THAT stuff. and so should you

You've really just got to do it and eventually it'll not bug you
There is no other advice anyone can give you

perhaps I just don't understand because I'm 16 currently and I've driven before when I was like 12
still no driving permit though lol

you're a lost cause
don't you nark at people for doing this type of thing?

i think that most new drivers have a lot of anxiety. my advice is to start slowly and go on small out-of-town roads to get comfortable. it all comes with experience. you probably wont get hurt.

Only driving will make you more comfortable with driving.
