Author Topic: Burning Crusade DM  (Read 4665 times)

This is a DM I am working on for my clan TBot or something. If you don't know what Burning Crusade is, its and expansion for World of Warcraft where an evil wizard opens up a portal to a place called outland, which is where the demens thrive. Anyways, there will be 3 teams, the alliance, the horde, and the burning legion. You have to go through the portal to get to the other planet. The Horde and the Alliance have 3 classes, they both will have warriors and rouges, the alliance will have mages, and the Horde will have Hunters.

Class Capability:
Warrior: Sword and pill(s), will take damage and lead the battle.
Rouge: Katana and Stealth
Mage: *Fireball and *Fuel Jets (low)
Hunter: Bow and Horse (carrot)

Each team will have a leader.
Alliance - King Arthur
Horde - Thrall
Legion - Illidan Stormrage

And the Burning Legion would have 3 classes:

Demon: Zombie like attack, Fast movement(form of fuel jets or something else)
Shadowstalker: Stealth and *Shadow Bolt (purple Fireball)
Riftseeker: *Short range Fire attack(flame thrower kind of thing), and claw(with speed jump like katana)

Map:
Azeroth,(the earth like world), will have grass and rather flat terrain. Will have Warcraft like castles and stuff.
Outland will have broken apart and spiky land, with orange everywhere.
Each team will have a main base/city
Alliance - Stormwind city - Castle
Horde - Orgrimmar - Lots of huts along a cliffside
Legion - Black Temple

Build so far:
Have two worlds set with boundaries and basic terrain. (pictures) Also, dark portal is built.

Needed Modifications: (i cannot mod or script right now, need fairly simple mods.)
-The picking of classes will not be scripted, it will merely need different 1 way doors into rooms with items for a class.
Form of stealth- an Item enables a setting where when they hit shift, (crouch) they turn invisible, but if their under attack, they turn slightly transparent.
*Shadowbolt- Somehow color a fireball purple.
Fist Attack-fist attack (for demons) that is like zombie attack.
*Fuel Jet item- puts some fuel in the fuel jet bar.
*Short range fire attack- Flamethrower attack coming from hand.
Claw- Zombie like attack with speed jump like katana.
*=Requires a form of mana (fuel jet)

This may seem like a lot of mods, but I tried to make them all fairly simple, if you would've seen what kind of mods i had in mind before, You would have laughed.

Looks-

Alliance - Relatively human- Knight style
Horde - Green and bulky - Orc style
Legion - Red or orange - Demon Style

Right now I cannot host servers, but i plan to fix it.

If you want to be part of Building/Scripting please say so, but in order to build I need someone to host.

Cant be bothered to read all that but the pics look nice.

I don't think it really is black. It's like stone-dark gray-ish, not demonic black and red. Plus the portal is green, am I wrong?

Why can people NEVER spell ROGUE correctly. Rouge, is red in French. I mean for gods sake It's written all over the bloody game. I hate World of Warcraft, therefore I hate this.

Sorry for venting. I can't control the WoW hate inside of me.

There were few MMOs before WoW. When WoW was released there were like 2000 more MMOs in the world than there was before, just because they're trying to get public attention.

ya rogue is right i actaully get on ppl for mispelling that.
my bad and yes the portal is green (no green fire)

IMO, this is destined to fail. Sounds too complicated to be fun.

Give the burning legion the following classes instead:
Felguard, Doomguard, Nathreziem (which is a vampire like creature).

Felguards are the main infantry of the Buring Legion, basically demonic warriors with a variety of twisted looking weapons.
Doomguards are bigger demons, use magic, use these giant blades and are capable of flight.
Nathreziem are vampiric creatures that can raise the dead and suck the life out of others.

Maybe instead of one of those get a warlock.

If I remember correctly, the evil wizard, Medivh, wasn't actually evil. I think he was possessed by the dark god, Sargeras, into opening the portal in Azeroth. The portal wasn't just created by him either. The Orcs, on Outland, created the one there.

Also, the leader of the Alliance is not "King Arthur". I think you mean Arthas, and he isn't either. I don't think the Alliance have a single leader like the horde. I also don't think Illidan is really part of the legion, maybe only out of circumstance. The only leader of the legion was Sargeras, and he was destroyed.

Sorry, I like WoW lore. :cookieMonster:

It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who's overly obsessed here.

No offense!  :cookieMonster:

Medivh was an archmage, I believe. He could have been a warlock, but in WC3 he was a Prophet.

And there are really 4 lords of the Alliance.

Prophet Valen, King Andwynn (I think), Malfurion, King Magni Bronzebeard.

Andwynn (I think) is the child king of Stormwind who's father is somewhere in Lordaeron, missing.

Arthas was the heir of Lordaeron until he picked up Frostmourne and killed his dad, Terenas.

Yes, Medivh was an Archmage. He lived in Karazhan, where he was killed by his apprentice, Khadgar, I believe. I don't know about the Warlock bit. I don't remember why he was a prophet in WC3, probably because it was his fault for opening the portable to Outland, and so he decided to relay the message to those who were, maybe destined, to close it. Probably figured that, since Thrall was the son of Durotan, one of the only chiefs in the Horde to oppose the Warchief and the Warlocks of what they were doing, that he was destined to undo what his race had caused.

I know there are leaders of the Alliance, but I ment a singular one. Also, is Malfurion leader of the Night Elves? I thought Tyrande was, I've never actually gone through Darnasus much, being mainly on the horde.

Malfurion's stuck in the Emerald Dream, Tyrande is the High Priestess. There's Archdruid Fandral Staghelm to take Malfurion's place until he comes back.

I'd assume that the leader of the Humans would be the 'king' of the Alliance, but aren't the Horde and Alliance just alliances and not empires? So there wouldn't be a lord of the Alliance or Horde?

I believe that both the Tauren and Trolls are bound to the Horde because of something Thrall did. The Orcs saved the Trolls, can't remember how, and the Orcs also saved the Tauren, they escorted them out of there old home land, that was becoming over run by centaurs.

*slaps the WoW nerds* Shame on you!!

Accept it, Sniff. We're invading the world.

It's inevitable.
