Author Topic: is it me or is square enix is the best game dev company out there right now?  (Read 3705 times)

wasn't the last one of those really bad or something
Naw. BFE is alright. SS2 was really bad tho.

what about fromsoftware? They've released multiple titles and their flagship is the soul-style games, and they're all really good
uggggh, i hate what they did to armored core.
they pushed out V and Verdict day and were like "gosh no one seems interested in AC anymore time to put it in the trash" no people wanted AC, just not, V and Verdict day.
now it's just souls

I can confirm two things for you.

You're a twat, and you're wrong. Saying stuff like "you know why" is not a forgetin' valid argument. Square Enix also does horrible stuff; almost Nintendo levels of bad.

"I don't agree with someone therefore they're stupid."

And before you cunts start yelling stuff, no, I actually justify why I think Tt Games are producing crap. Their design team constantly reuse the same puzzles and try to stretch out gameplay with unskippable cutscenes, timers and long/tedious combat. They're also nowadays selling character/vehicle packs as DLC for inflated prices, for content that should and could have been part of the main game. Making a character in Tt Game is copying a base model, throwing over some textures and copy/pasting a few config values.

Get mad at me all you want just because I want LEGO games that are something different and maybe even a little challenging.

blizzard, I enjoy blizzard although I've only played four of their games, starcraft, starcraft 2, diablo III, and WoW though not extensively.  I'm not sure what warlords of draenor is but I assume it has something to do with WoW or Warcraft.  could someone explain this?  too lazy to look it up.

Somehow I just keep coming back to blizzard. For some reason, I consider them my friend who i may occasionally get bored or frustrated with. However, I always come back to them knowing that they will have an open place for me in their home when I am in need of their company. They give me tea and cookies, and while they may occasionally not taste too good or may cost a lot of my time when they go on about the memoir of their life, they always captivate me somehow. It seems like they are taking a turn for the better though, a major release like Overwatch may make them a permanent friend of mine depending on the fate of the game.

World of Warcraft has preoccupied most of my time, that's for sure. It's a series that I've come to cherish for its rich lore and storytelling, even though WoW may not have the substance to back up the previous games. I've still stuck with it, even through their most stupid or dull moments, like when the friend begins to doze off in the middle of the story and I debate whether or not I should go to that whore named MOBA which has been taking up most of my time lately. Either way, I've enjoyed the series so far and have done so with friends, having great tales of victory and blunder alike.

I hope that clears it up for a you a bit.

Treyarch has been impressing me with how well they listen to their community, despite the fact that every problem they fix causes a few hundred more people to start bitching

"2K Game's" have recently screwed up with there 'XCOM 2' PC release and it's currently incredibly shoddy with verypoor optimisation and quite a large amount of technical issue's aswell. What's sad is that they don't give a stuff about this, they haven't apologised about this and they've never even mentioned this on the store page so i't will most likely remain in this state indefinitely.

Even though they're much smaller than most of the others mention here, Digital Extremes (dudes who made Warframe) is pretty good with keeping their game alive and fresh.

they've done enough that I've stuck around with them for about 3 years now.

i like lego games mcjob get mad

The performance isn't that bad, and the things is, the game is a strategic masterpiece anyway.

i don't like any game dev but if I had to pick one id give valve best game dev for 2011 for releasing two games and creating large amount of content for their f2p game which is now complete garbage unfortunately.

I'm aware that they may or may not be that noticeable for some people, but this is still a legitimate problem and most user's are noticing this 'even Total Biscuit acknowledge's this as being a legitimate problem that is quite noticeable aswell'. I'm probably sure there are people who weren't affected that seriously by the optimisation but there are certainly people who are struggling to fully enjoy XCOM 2 to it's fullest potential due to this.

The game is very good but the top review's for this game on steam are mostly negative review's acknowledging the optimisation issue's so this is very serious and will probably drive people who are interested in the game away due to this.
