The idea that people have souls that travel somewhere is like thinking that a CPU has a soul that goes somewhere when the power gets cut off. There's no power to process inputs and outputs with, activity simply ceases to be.

What really happens though is the human instrumentality project.

The universe goes on for an infinite amount of time, and after an infinite amount of time it will restart again, doing the same things.
Everything will happen within that infinite amount of time, which means that when you die, 'death' will be an infinitesimal moment in time between your old brain and your new form of consciousness your mind will become, such as in some computer or becoming some crazy god causing havoc all over the universe, or just in a brain. This could happen by your brain's atoms being rearranged exactly as they were before you died in some new body or something to sustain it, which means when you 'die', (to you) you are instantly reincarnated into that mind. I'm agnostic in a way, because this universe might have a god, but overall throughout the infinitely-dimension multiverse, I don't believe some higher being exists throughout everything.

I believe when you die from your perspective you didn't. For example, you die, people attend your funeral, and they will all have memories of that. Where from your perspective you didn't die, and your death was merely a nightmare. You keep living in this reality and become "worlds oldest human".
