then kick them once or twice. Don't skip straight to permament ban
can you explain why? someone who intentionally breaks rules isn't gonna turn into an angel cus you kicked them

if the rule breaking was intentional then no amount of warnings or kicks is going to prevent them from doing it again
insert name here you're too soft of an admin

also off topic: uhhh, luigi has gore/link to gore in his signature.. wtf

I feel like Luigi is over-reacting and he didn't actually want to get other peoples opinion on the subject he wanted to rant so this belongs in drama, also it does seem like a joke "No Bullying Please" because that is a reason only a 9 year old would give, and although the forums does seem like a bunch of 9 year olds' sadly most of us here are over 12 :/
this was just luigi's passive-aggressive attempt at whining about being banned, probably belongs in drama. Also the ban message was "pls dont bully," in the context of the server, the people on the server, and the reason he was banned, it was obvious it was a joke.

I'll almost always warn people.  When people show no signs of genuine remorse for what they did, permabanning is a must.

Otherwise, I will ban for an hour, a few hours, or a day.  Sometimes multiple days.

It's like if someone stole a pen, you don't instantly scream in their face and chop their arm off. I still take control of a situation, just I do it in a more understandable manner, not "oh stuff he broke a rule NOPE he forgeted up goodbye forever forgetface lol *perma banned*"

in luigi's sig it says <image removed>

was he banned?

also remember this is the kid that said "i wish god didn't make me so smart"

I usually ban people for a few hours or something if they're being quite mean to others, and have been told to stop.
I figure they may be better if they return when the others aren't around.

If they're going out of their way to disrupt, cause problems, or starting stuff with me, then they're gone for good.

But generally, it depends on the scenario. There are many different reasons I have banned people for.

do u think it should be a perma ban
hah

either he's banned or he lost his ability to edit his profile (not likely though: he still has his steam thing)
that is if he didn't remove it himself

Permanent banning is useful for the worse of them all players. As of one that has had bad history of DDoSing, or that one troll client add-on

I don't remember a gore link in my sig.
The only two things I had in my sig were my steam link and something else and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a gore link.

uh... yeah, because it's just a pen, and that consequence is severe bodily injury
but breaking rules in a video game and no longer being able to play on that particular video game server are pretty much equal in terms of severity
if someone intentionally steals your pen after you let them borrow it, would you let them borrow another pen?

"I searched Thomas O face and got: <Crushed person's face>" which was a clickable link to a higher rez version of the gore

Well then I deserved the profile edit ban.
I now remember it if I scarred you I am truly sorry.

EDIT: It took him about a month to notice it.
