But there are a lot of people that do, believe it or not
And so for those that did, they now have to deal with the fact that everything on those twitter accounts, which made up the basis of their political beliefs, was professionally made, fabricated misinformation. The implications on this should be pretty clear

People follow others based on THEIR beliefs. They seek validation for what they already think. They don't go looking for fresh new ideas to pick, and if you guys think that's how social media operates you're loving lizards

Well then your point is just plain wrong. People definitely seek out sources that validate what they already believe, but that isn't static. They will obviously be informed by that source when new agendas are pushed.
