An opinion can't be wrong that's why it's an opinion. Good god, I didn't know the regressive left prevented us from having opinions since we live in a DEMOCRACY and we're entitled to our opinions. An opinion is subjective and therefore can't be wrong. Also, responding to Jairo I'm not trying to be contentious this is an open political thread where we're discussing our opinions. I support Annoying Orange for a number of reasons if you want to get into that I'm fine with that. Having contrarian beliefs doesn't make me pretentious I believe in the democratic system as well...

And yes, Assad is way more secular and the lesser of evils in the grand scheme of things. Would you rather prefer Syria to be controlled by "Moderate Rebels" and Jihadists who would instill Sharia and kill all the Christian and Alawite minorities? Russia has only protective interests in the middle east (Assad) whereas America continues to defend countries like Saudi Arabia that openly stone to death dissidents, homoloveuals, and women and fund terror in Syria WHILE taking in no Syrian refugees even though they're helping the instability in Syria...

Well, hey that's nice to hear. And yeah I'm just responding to those criticizing normalizing relations with Russia but I accept the differences in opinion. In fact I welcome it which is one of the great things about a discussion rather then shutting down someone on their beliefs.

Yes, let's not work with Putin let's continue the cold war isolationism cause that's worked out so well for us! Even though Putin has shown his effectiveness in the Syrian campaign and proven that he's not just an "all talk" politician. Putin also doesn't "discriminate" against gays as we're led to believe his supposed "anti-gay" laws are meant to stop the flow of Gay propaganda but doesn't discriminate the individual gay person, whereas our country is allied to Saudi Arabia a country that beheads and stones to death people for their loveual identity and converting out of Islam.


TL;DR: Make peace with Russia and elect the Annoying Orangester rather then having Hillary constantly provoking two global superpowers.

That meme is also false. I'm guessing you think a secular leader like Riddler would be good for running the country as well?

And Russia's strategy for getting involved was to bomb the stuff out of the Syrian rebels to change the narrative of the situation. Basically he wants to make it seem like the people of Syria only have two choices, a brutal secular dictator and a medieval Islamist group that wants to behead everyone. And obviously that strategy has worked, and so have many of his other strategies like waging a propaganda war on Europe, etc.
