It's a bit like saying our culture died during the government lockouts because public museums, national parks, and historic sites closed down.

Doesn't mean it isn't an idea that's there just to prove a point that programs can be cut despite how little they affect our national budget.

I looked up recent NEA grants in Atlanta and I thought it was pretty cool that they help support museums but then I remembered that museums that are actually worth going to are capable of supporting themselves, which is why the Fernbank didn't show up anywhere
