how's this stopping free press/banning media outlets? they're still able to print a story and everything without being censored/shut down

It's not and they didn't even ban them they just had an off the record meeting between certain news groups.

Quote for page loss:
Politifact is owned by the Tampa Bay Times who haven't endorsed a Republican candidate in over 100 years. Hilariously biased and shouldn't ever be trusted.

have they endorsed a democratic candidate, though? just because they haven't endorsed a republican doesn't mean they endorse democratic candidates. a source to clarify this would probably help

that's like asking how it's bad if it can still get worse. denying left-wing outlets access to a press briefing and letting breitbart in of all things is a pretty transparent attack.

Yes they've endorsed dem candidates almost every year. And it wasn't a press briefing they don't have them when the president speaks which he did that day.

http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/321137-spicer-suggests-barring-media-was-a-response-to-false-narratives

"White House press secretary Sean Spicer defended the decision Friday to bar several news organizations from covering his question-and-answer session with press, saying the Annoying Orange administration would "push back" on "false narratives.""

so anyways here is sean spicer admitting that they barred them from the meeting because it doesnt fit the narrative

From a small q and a not a press brief. You're reading fake news.

You can check their site.. I'm about to get into the shower and go to work. Enlighten yourself. I don't play with blatant shills and trolls.

dude are you having a stroke

selectively barring conveniently left-leaning media outlets and letting in conveniently right-leaning media outlets is unprecedented, and for good reason. this was not a more serious press event, but it is absolutely worthy of concern that the white house would be willing to do this because it doesn't fit their narrative

dude are you having a stroke

He hit n instead of m what a perfect chance to not have an answer. Deflection to full!

that was far from the only problem with your post

I'm pretty sure you're just either partially illiterate or willfully ignorant.

there wasn't even much to respond to in that post. the only bit of substance there was this:
From a small q and a not a press brief.
which wasn't super-relevant considering he didn't even say anything about it being a press briefing in that post, and even if he did, splitting hairs about what kind of press event it was wouldn't be any kind of compelling argument against the principal problems we're seeing with this ordeal

The headlines say multiple news organizations banned from a press brief. A) it wasn't a press brief. B) they weren't banned just not invited to a private meeting.

I'm pretty sure you're just either partially illiterate or willfully ignorant.
that's pretty ballsy coming from the random ass alt making bold statements and refusing to clarify them, responding only with "stop reading fake news and enlighten yourself, troll" when his views are challenged in any way

yeah, and none of that changes the fact that they intentionally, deliberately, knowingly excluded press outlets because they don't fit their narrative, saying they are fake news, which is an incredibly piss-poor thing to try and normalize. it doesn't matter how small or stupid an event it was, the principle behind this decision is what's problematic. if this doesn't continue to other events, great, but that doesn't make it ok

tomato.... uh.. tomato......
well, it doesn't work in text, but you get the point
