it was the opposite dynamic while dems still held majority. he's just pointing out that many republicans are complaining a lot about democrats not being cooperative now, even though for the past eight years, republicans have been repeatedly uncooperative with democrats (obama's SCOTUS nominee, multiple budget fights leading to or nearly leading to government shutdowns, etc.)

it mostly just shows how quickly some republicans are forgetting everything they've done and gone through the past eight years. i do find it funny how quickly i've seen some people cry for putting "partisan politics" aside as if the only thing dividing the parties are party lines, and not ideological differences that lead to legitimate concerns which the democrats have essentially no power to effectively represent, which should be a familiar situation to republicans in congress

uh the fact that they've spent the last 8 years working against whatever democrats tried to do maybe ?

Republicans had to put up with Democrats for 8 years straight. Pretty sure the turnout and result of this election is a part of some internalized frustration which the Democrats did nothing to try and even attempt to help cool down. Reality is that in party politics there isn't any true respect for eachother. People like to imagine there is though and that's hilarious.

I wouldn't trust this notion at all.
