Gonna have to side with Beachbum on this. If Politifact wants to establish itself as an objective fact-checker, then they can't label out-of-context truths as lies. Because their willingness to establish context for certain truths is going to hinge entirely on the political beliefs of their editors, they're going against the whole point of checking political facts.

I think you might misunderstand the rating system a little. 'Mostly False' is used synonymously with 'Barely True' on Politifact--so they give him credence that yea, it's true, it's just said in a misleading manner and while it is not technically a lie, it is deceitful. That's kinda the whole point of the 'barely true' rating.
