uh... yea, meat processing is worse than slavery but IDK how that's related. around 12 million slaves were brought to the US--I tried to figure out how many were born in captivity but didn't find any stats, so I'd guess around 15-30 million more. for contrast, 56 BILLION farm animals are slaughtered every single year--that's just mammals, ignoring things like fish and lobster.

that's the reasoning behind it--just not sure how it's related...

The humane society shows it as about 9.2 billion farm animals slaughtered in 2015. The Humane Society shows 115 million pigs are slaughtered each year, which is also backed up by PETA of all people.

That's for the US--under 5% of the worlds population. If 1/20th of the planet kills almost 10 billion creatures, imagine what the rest can do. Even if just one billion creatures were slaughtered each year it would still be worse than the holocaust and slavery combined. In a few hundred years it will probably be viewed like a war crime.

How many animals is it okay to kill for fun? The answer has always been the same--zero.
