He's a federal judge from Hawaii. The ban is blocked nationwide.
forget, and I thought Japan needed a blast from the past WW2 style.

Why is it that no other federal travel ban has been shot down like this one

Yeah, I wonder why...

We haven't really had a similar travel ban in recent history, and the idea of actually combating discrimination in government is a fairly new idea circa 1960s.

There's very little similarity to the restrictions Obama put on Iraq - especially since those restrictions still allowed citizens back into our country and only slowed the flow of refugees, rather than stopping it outright and completely.

I mean... one I recall quite well is the incoming jewish refugees trying to escape the national socialists that we turned back.

CUBA
and besides, just because we haven't had one like this in recent history, doesn't mean it's uncalled for, especially considering its loving temporary.

Everything's discrimination if you don't think about it.

Well thats because Obama was too busy playing golf to give a stuff about what was actually happening.

See, but it doesn't really behoove Annoying Orange supporters to bring that up, since most people nowadays probably consider that a richard move.

Honestly, our country has had isolationist cycles, so seeing that sort of stuff isn't half surprising.

I'm glad you know what they think but how is sending Jews back to national socialist Germany the same as telling refugees to go somewhere else? Here's this pesky old chart again

They can't go to any of these places?

They can't go to any of these places?
You know each of those exact places is probably asking the same question as this

"why don't they go to america? america's the biggest country ever!"
"why can't they just go to russia after all there's plenty of room there"
"sorry we dont want you here go to sweden"
"sorry guys you're causing 1% of the crime here, we can't have that. go to america"

America has a long history of avoiding as much humanitarian aid as possible and letting the poorest and least-equipped countries tackle that, despite being one of the richest countries in the world with some of the highest standards of living.

...Ok?

...Ok?
Telling refugees to 'go somewhere else' isn't going to help them much. We're clearly well-equipped for the task of taking in more refugees than we already do but for some reason people have some innate fear that anyone who is not them is automatically a problem.

refugees chose to go where they did to milk the social welfare system. They have no intention to contribute to society.
