Sorry for the double post
In this case, statistics about beliefs shouldn't determine whether or not an entire population is a threat to national security. That's just basic logic.

Thoughts do not injure people. Thoughts don't put lives at risk. If there are particular individuals who enter the country that say they want to kill all americans and blow up the white house, by all means they should be detained/deported/put on a terror watch. But saying "i wish gays should die" or "i wish the government should conform to my religion" is wrong but it's a belief, and people are free to believe what they want

If you want to represent a free country, you would have no issue accepting this. If you wish to punish people for their beliefs, you are literally a fascist.

This is why I think Matthew doesn't know anything about conservatism and is just riding on the caboose of the Annoying Orange train

Honestly half of matthews posts dont actually warrant a verbal response.

And here you are, continuing to spew your typical garbage while 90% of the forums disagrees with everything you say.
i couldn't have put it any better

More reason to build the wall.
Don't you mean 'more reason to fund border security since a wall won't stop people from crossing the border illegally and will cost taxpayers billions of dollars'

If you cared about limiting illegal immigration, you'd be all for creating thousands of american jobs along the border instead of building an immobile object that people can dig tunnels under. However, you only care about the 'build the wall' argument for meme's sake.

as long as its just the poor people paying extra taxes im all for it buddy

Path do you think walls don't have any type of security and are just left there in the desert

bonus: creates jobs as wall guards
non-bonus: it creates jobs, but as loving wall guards sitting in the desert waiting for twelve hours for some family of twelve people named pedro to wander up

Judging by the fact that our current border is sparsely patrolled, i'd say its mostly left there except in major cities

the current border we have works just as well as a concrete wall. an improvement would be more checkpoints along the border and more patrolling and more guards. Having a wall there won't stop people any better than the fence

But I thought people could dig under it and overstay those visas and go around???

Manpower is infallible. The more people you have patrolling, the more chance that they will discover tunnels wherever they exist. As for overstaying the visas, that's a CIS issue, and has nothing to do with the construction of the wall. That could use its own funds too.

The key is to fund things intelligently and not go above and beyond to secure extra measures when what you have is already enough. It's like if they raised the police budget 50 million dollars so they could plate their cars in gold foil and look cooler. That's not going to do anything, but if you used that 50 million budget to employ more police and have them patrol longer, then you actually make good use of that money.

i can appreciate how we can take a break from arguing to agree that matthew is a doofus. it's one of the few constants we have on this forum.

we're all doofuses (doofi?) here

It looks like you keep implying that the wall will be the only thing going into border security and that border walls are useless blah blah blah

It's a good idea to bring up Israel in a conversation like this

They have an extremely effective wall even though it kinda looks like a bunch of spray painted dominoes and toilet paper rolls. And that's on a border with a terrorist state that calls for the death of Israel and Jews globally. All we have is a failed government that barely controls it's own land and is trying to beat out it's southern neighbors in the "how fast do you need foreign aid" race. And Israel is basically a giant desert with a few big cities which is a pretty good comparison to the southern border. There's no reason why a country ten times as powerful and with a tenth of the problem can't handle something like this. And are we really supposed to give up all hope on a wall because some people will try to dig under it? Is that it?
That's like saying if a gun shoots dead straight four times out of five we should give up because it doesn't shoot straight once?
