I'll give you this, conservatives are incredibly narrow sighted. They blame the millennial condition on stupid shallow stuff like phones and social media. Somehow the entire brainwashing of a generation in our public schools just kinda got dismissed as "kids these days".
Generation Z is shaping up to be the most conservative generation post-WWII. It's only the natural reaction to growing up around low testosterone millenial manchildren and being disgusted by them.

i'd hold on that for a bit considering the age group they're in atm, but it is interesting to hear. education tends to have a liberalizing effect tho, and politics can shift a lot between now and when they start affecting policy

not if you do it right

yeah, you just have to tell them that certain people are beneath us. hmm.

growing up in the post-9/11 world, being in a perpetual state of war with radical islamic terrrorists, and experiencing the 2008 market crash at a particularly formative age also helps.

millennials also experienced all of this tho so that can't be the whole story

growing up in the age of social media replacing older forms of information delivery (particularly television) also helps.

Generation Z doesn't rely on television for their news. Generation Z doesn't trust the media as much as millenials do.

this is very true. wartime paranoia always results in conservatism being popular. it's also the point in history where we look back and say 'wow maybe we should've helped more people'

Self Loath, although this maybe an uncommon reason, but it is mine.
I was and am and always will be the very thing I hate, and the fact that I feel that I can't change that is the most disgusting thing and why I'm conservative.

i'm p sure that's also the same with millennials unless i've got this timeline wrong

Millenials iirc is anyone born from 1980-2000

Millenials weren't born into a world where the internet was something nearly everyone in the country has access to. From the early 90s onward, sure, the internet became more common, but Gen Z grew up with it.

millennials are just children of gen x, which are children of baby boomers. so i'm p sure i would be a late millennial in that sense, and i definitely grew up with the internet. i guess really the time span of generations can be pretty large, so even the same birth cohorts can have vastly different experiences

Exactly the point I was making. The later half of the Millenial generation is closer to Gen Z but still not quite the same.

That sounds like bullstuff because i was born in 1998 and can confirm that I always had internet.
