He's appointed some handicaps, but I've yet to see him appoint someone that is, without a shadow of a doubt, corrupt.

A military general appointed in charge of the law isn't necessarily suspending the law. So long as the conflict of interest is vetted and the general isn't serving as both a whitehouse operative and a military general, there shouldn't really be any issue.
