Not entirely. There must be either or both of knowledge and intent.
"Did they know that a foreign agent had been utilized in a part of this investigation even if through an indirect route?"
"Did they authorize through neglectful oversight that a foreign agent may be utilized to gather information?"

If the answer to any of the questions above is yes, they can be liable. If not, it is the company who is liable.

Can the company be liable considering they're not a political organization? Or is there a different law covering this?

i realize you're a troll and all that but you could at least like, cite a source that legally says what you're saying
there's gotta be some statute out there that's just ambiguous enough for you to try to look smart by reading too far into it

If money goes from a campaign to a foreign agent for matters pertaining to the election no matter how many middle men it's still highly illegal.
research isn't technically inherently election-related, so you would have to probably find some relevant court precedent to help out here. also note that it doesn't have to be illegal for it to be unethical, you can still be mad at people for doing something you don't like without them having to be criminals

i think, where we stand right now, it's ambiguous whether or not this is really illegal. it'd have to go to the courts for us to find out

let's go then, bubbo. where's the court case to back up what you're saying?

that's literally the opposite of what the law says lol
it speaks of money going FROM a foreigner TO a campaign

speaking of kids, shouldn't you be taking care of yours? it's the morning on the west coast right now.
Not his kids, they're his girlfriend's kids. He just likes to claim he has kids for the sake of propping up his arguments
