saying you can grab stranger's genitalia is not really acceptable no matter who you're referring to

"they let you do it"

"they let you do it"
that is literally what rapists say about their victims

"they let you do it"
Seems to happen all the time to republicans

you can train 20 years olds to be good soldiers but you can't train women to be the same as men
but you can train women to be as good as men. same implies that they overcome biological boundaries which is impossible. women just have to work a little harder to be on par with men, nobody is lowering the bar for them

"they let you do it"
"letting you do something" implies that they don't want it to happen, but are not actively preventing it
this is not consent

semi-relevant: does anyone remember this?

this is not consent

if he was raping people all the time you'd think there'd be tangible evidence by now

i mean he's stating facts. you can grab someone's vagina if they let you. you can literally do anything to someone if they let you and are older than 18

it's not loveual harassment if both parties are okay with it. it's loveual, but the harassment part is missing

if he was raping people all the time you'd think there'd be tangible evidence by now

We have him on tape talking about groping women

We also have a ton of rape accusations with pretty similar anecdotes

tangible evidence of him committing loveual assault, you dolt. I can go on public television and talk about how much I like loving consenting girls in the ass and that doesn't make me a rapist. means I really like ass

think of it this way: if someone held me up at gunpoint and demanded my wallet, i would probably "let them" take it (because i don't feel like being murdered), but that doesn't mean i consented to them taking it

the absence of "no" is not consent

it's suspicious and suggestive, but i'm not generally inclined to believe accusations unless:
  • the accusations are backed up with evidence,
  • or the accused was convicted in a court of law,
  • or the accused admitted to it (assuming they weren't, like, blackmailed into doing so)
that's not to say the accuser should be automatically treated as a liar or that the accusations should be simply dismissed, of course

this is semantics and nothing else. if my girlfriend lets me kiss her it's implied she consented to it. When I recount it I'm not going to be ultra specific and say 'I asked if I could kiss my girlfriend and she said yes and I kissed her' because why would anyone need to clarify that outside a court of law

when you're robbed you don't let the guy take your wallet, because that implies you were inclined to give it to him. instead, you gave him the wallet. or, more forceful, he forced you to give it to him. Let and forced are different sides of a spectrum

I don't know how anyone can listen to that tape or read the transcript and think "yeah, all of those interactions were 100% consensual"

Unknown: She used to be great. She’s still very beautiful.

Annoying Orange: I moved on her, actually. You know, she was down on Palm Beach. I moved on her, and I failed. I’ll admit it.

Unknown: Whoa.

Annoying Orange: I did try and forget her. She was married.

Unknown: That’s huge news.

Annoying Orange: No, no, Nancy. No, this was [unintelligible] — and I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping.

She wanted to get some furniture. I said, “I’ll show you where they have some nice furniture.” I took her out furniture — I moved on her like a bitch. But I couldn’t get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.
