The pledge of allegiance.  Such bs.

Some more.
Not allowing video-taping or audio recordings. Seriously. Rules like this make me think that the higher-ups in the school are seriously corrupt. What if one of your teachers is being physically abusive and you expect to get evidence of it, but when a kid comes in with evidence they get suspended and have their evidence thrown out because they took out their phone and recorded it.
Students grading other students. Why should I even have to explain this? Massively abusable. Had it in elementary school. Grades went down the stuffter because people had grudges against me and I couldn't do anything about it because the teachers were lazy starfishs.
In-house discipline. I've heard so many horror stories about in-house punishments it's insane. TEACHERS ARE NOT CHILD BEHAVIOURAL AND ETHICS EXPERTS. They CAN and WILL forget up kids without remorse. Seriously, look up the stories about in-school discipline abuse. It's some serious Stanford Prison Experiment stuff.

we aren't allowed to record stuff at school because kids record themselves dancing in class or record fights at school and the principal gets mad about it

no food and drinks, even water. why not just let the kids have their chips or peanut butter crackers when they're hungry in class instead of making everyone listen to the bitch and whine all class period about it? if you're not going to permit food in class, then maybe you should give us better lunches and breakfasts

Yeah, which is stupid. There's no reason to be mad about your own students giving you evidence that they're breaking legitimate rules. Preventing recording of say, fights, and JUST fights is understandable. But banning it altogether is ridiculous (which most schools that have a ban on recording have done).

School uniforms. They don't do stuff except make kids hate the school more.
I kinda don't see the problem there, though. kids get made fun of a lot for clothes, and having uniforms doesn't allow for that. expressing yourself through clothing isn't that important

Wow, I bitch at my school's rules but you guys go to a loving department of corrections.

Also this. I'd wish my school had uniforms so I don't have to see fatasses in mini-skirts or hear girls bitch about how cold it is while they bring a 5cm short to school.

Anyone who thinks standing for the pledge of allegiance is a requirement at public schools is dumb as stuff.

shudder
My school has a no-uniform day every Friday and every time I come home, I have to bleach my eyes for 15 minutes straight.

this is exactly the opposite of what I'm saying. you are the reason uniforms are good

my classmates tend to post it to facebook though, so i guess that's why. our principal really only cares about how the school looks on the outside

i'm glad that most of my female classmates have hella good fashion sense (one girl dresses like a model every day and she's so good at it). except for the dudes, i have to see their underwear all day and watch them skip around because they can't run with sagging pants lol

rood

i am not fat nor do I wear mini-skirts or shorts. I use pants be it -10C or 38C.

now that I think about it, banning gum all together because some kids stick it everywhere is dumb

gum helps you concentrate/think

no hats in class

We're not allowed to wear hoodies in school.
I've been building up a legal case against this since winter and our uniform sweaters don't insulate for stuff.
Petitions, arguments, etc, all of it is about to go in play.
Thats kinda like my school

I have a 2 hour bus ride and we're not allowed to wear hoodies. Only ridiculously oversized Antarctica jackets that we can't store (there are no lockers.)
Two or three times my bus had no heat while in January, and I was completely numb and got sick after the rides but ohh noo God forbid we wear hoodies that our 900 year old principal thinks is devil play.

We had to recite the pledge of allegiance every loving day

So one day I came up with some "improved lyrics"

Let's just say I was loving destroyed
