Topre switches are so new that they're still tough to find. They act as a hybrid between mechanical and membrane: A rubber dome sits over a spring that creates a capacitive circuit when pressed.

A lot easier to use a photo I already used on the forums rather than take a new one.

I'm typing on a Topre right now. Super smooth action, smoother than my Cherry MX Blue. The 1mm operation point and fast debounce are pretty nice, though most people would probably be disappointed with it since the actuation force curve makes it feel really similar to a typical membrane keyboard. It's not quite as stiff, though, at least not these 45g domes.

I like MX-Blues for their clickiness, but with a snap function built into the switch itself it kinda makes it hard to double tap keys.

Just a basic Microsoft keyboard.

Phone touchscreen keyboard.

acer sk-9020 with lots of dead skin or something between the keys that i really should scrape out
