Author Topic: Nintendo introduces actual accounts  (Read 2984 times)

https://accounts.nintendo.com/

Nintendo already started putting an end to their awful and dated "your digital games die with your console" policy with Nintendo Network IDs, but now they're introducing accounts where you can tie everything together with all your separate Nintendo consoles (including the upcoming NX), websites, and mobile games (like Miitomo). It'll also be used for Club Nintendo's successor, "My Nintendo." Current functionality is limited to...well, pretty much nothing, but you can at least create an account, either from scratch or with your NNID, Google+, Facebook, or Twitter.

Welcome to the 21st century, Nintendo! Nice of you to join us.

can u have names that are already taken because i accidently just took Ramona

Nintendo is incredibly out dated when it comes to their online distribution. I'm surprised it took them this long to finally do something like this when it should have been done since the Wii. Playstation didn't implement the PS Network until the PS3 came out.

Playstation has the best online service

Then Xbox.

Then Dreamcast.

And Nintendo falls in last.

I doubt Nintendo's online services are worst than Dreamcast

i wish i could change to my real age like dam

lying about my age before i was 18 got my into so much trouble with password resets that require you to input the same age as you did when you created the account.
i know my original neopets account of 10 years is lost forever because of this ):

That's why I would just use my parents birthdate.

Also, neat. Hopefully Nintendo will finally have a simple system for keeping all your content collected together.

I would now appreciate it if they stopped giving me 'free' micro-transaction fueled puzzle games on my 3DS.
Seriously, I ain't paying you a quid so I can get stuffty badges, Nintendo. This is content of such little use that it should be free.

Holy stuff that took so long.

How'd you get so many free plays?

I admit I used my 3DS this week for the first time in maybe 5-6 months, so I have only just gotten Badge Arcade.

I've got like 12 badges, including the mario ones you are basically given when you start. That's off of maybe 3 grabs.

There's a practice catcher you can occasionally get free Real Plays from
